Know Before You Go
Hurricane Helene caused severe damage across the Grandfather Ranger District, impacting roads, bridges, and parking areas that provide trail access. The historic rainfall, extreme winds, and debris flows from the storm resulted in downed trees, landslides, and significant flooding, leaving many trails inaccessible or damaged.
Check our Post-Helene Trail Updates to plan your next adventure and stay informed about trail conditions.
Help us restore the Grandfather Ranger District by donating to G5 Trail Collective or volunteering at a trail work day.
